Head of Cybersecurity Coordination and Change

Location: Göteborg, SE, 417 15

Position Type: Professional

About the role

Enterprise Cybersecurity is seeking a Principal, Cybersecurity Coordination and Change to join the Enterprise Cybersecurity Management Team. This is a senior individual contributor role with full management team membership and no formal line management responsibility. Coordination is the primary focus of this role: research informs the hypotheses, scenarios, and recommendations that shape direction, but the sustained value lies in ensuring that agreed direction translates into real change across the cybersecurity function. This is an impact-first role: success is measured not by the quality of analysis, but by whether the organization actually moved. The role is designed for an individual who brings broad cybersecurity fluency, rigorous analytical capability, and the organizational maturity to operate effectively in a large and complex enterprise. It requires someone who can form well-grounded positions on consequential cybersecurity topics and exercise the cross-functional leadership necessary to move the cybersecurity function forward on matters that cut across cybersecurity domains, teams, and organizational boundaries.

Key responsibilities
Cybersecurity research and insight development
  • Conduct substantive research on emerging, strategic, or complex cybersecurity topics of relevance to Enterprise Cybersecurity and the wider enterprise, leveraging existing organizational capabilities, established information sources, and relevant functions to inform research efforts and actively contribute insights back to these resources.
  • Produce position papers, briefing materials, and decision papers grounded in evidence, structured analysis, and clear enterprise relevance.
  • Translate complex or unfamiliar cybersecurity topics into clear implications, considered options, and recommended direction.
  • Ensure that leadership discussions on material cybersecurity topics are supported by rigorous external awareness and well-structured analysis.
Coordination, alignment, and validation
  • Drive alignment across cybersecurity teams and relevant stakeholders on horizontal topics, cross-cutting priorities, and significant cybersecurity interdependencies.
  • Identify fragmentation, gaps, or misalignment across the cybersecurity function and lead efforts to achieve practical convergence.
  • Translate agreed leadership priorities into defined actions, clear ownership, and structured follow-up.
  • Monitor progress on cross-functional and high-priority cybersecurity topics, and surface matters that require clarification, escalation, or direct intervention.
  • Lead and facilitate selected discussions, workshops, and follow-through activities to build and sustain shared direction.
  • Represent Enterprise Cybersecurity in designated forums where institutional credibility, informed perspective, and reliable follow-through are required.
Management team contribution
  • Serve as a full member of the Enterprise Cybersecurity Management Team.
  • Contribute cross-domain cybersecurity awareness, enterprise perspective, and sound judgment to leadership deliberations and collective priorities.
  • Identify emerging themes, systemic issues, and organizational dynamics within the cybersecurity function that affect its effectiveness and coherence.
What success looks like
  • Leadership discussions on significant cybersecurity topics are well-prepared, analytically grounded, and result in clear direction.
  • Alignment across cybersecurity teams and adjacent stakeholders is stronger and more durable, with fewer gaps and less friction on cross-cutting topics.
  • Cross-functional priorities that require sustained coordination move forward with defined ownership, visible progress, and disciplined follow-through.
  • The Enterprise Cybersecurity Management Team benefits from a member who strengthens its collective judgment, range, and capacity to act on complex matters.
  • Relevant external developments across the threat landscape, regulatory environment, and industry practice are identified and interpreted with sufficient lead time to inform leadership decisions.
Candidate profile

We are seeking a senior professional who combines substantive cybersecurity knowledge with strong analytical capability, organizational maturity, and demonstrated effectiveness in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. The right candidate brings broad range across cybersecurity disciplines, forms well-reasoned judgments on difficult topics, communicates with authority and precision, and can lead coordination and alignment efforts without relying on formal positional authority.

This role requires an individual with the credibility, judgment, and interpersonal effectiveness to contribute as a full member of a senior leadership team.

Required qualifications and experience
  • Significant experience in cybersecurity and technology risk within a large and complex organization.
  • Broad understanding across multiple cybersecurity disciplines, including technical and operational cybersecurity, security architecture, secure digital product development, governance, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate emerging or complex cybersecurity topics thoroughly and translate findings into clear analysis, recommendations, and leadership material.
  • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality materials for senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience driving organizational change across functional boundaries in a cybersecurity context, including handing off to implementation owners and validating outcomes.
  • Sound judgment, credibility, and professional maturity appropriate to a management-team-level appointment.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing large language models (LLMs) for research purposes and the production of high-quality professional materials suitable for senior audiences.
Preferred experience
  • Experience developing position papers, decision proposals, and executive briefings on complex cybersecurity topics.
  • Experience interpreting and normalizing analyst research, industry practice, and market developments and translating them into actionable enterprise cybersecurity guidance.
  • Experience operating across both the strategic and operational dimensions of cybersecurity.
  • Experience working in close proximity to senior leadership on enterprise-wide cybersecurity topics.
  • Experience coordinating complex cross-functional initiatives requiring sustained engagement across multiple teams or leadership areas.
In this role, the individual is expected to:
  • Exercise leadership through institutional credibility, analytical rigor, and clarity of communication.
  • Bring consistent depth and precision to research, analysis, and judgment.
  • Connect technical and operational understanding with enterprise-level cybersecurity implications.
  • Sustain effective coordination across organizational boundaries, from initial analysis through to visible, confirmed outcomes.
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Cybersecurity Management Team with the perspective, judgment, and follow-through expected of a full member.
