Job summary

Telavox in Malmö is seeking a Data Engineer for the Data Platform Team to own the full lifecycle of data, from raw events to trusted dashboards used by executives.

You will manage dbt projects, design data marts, run CDC pipelines, and optimize BigQuery costs while collaborating with analysts to turn questions into durable data products.

Fluent English is required; Swedish is a plus. Flexible work options and a strong AI and analytics culture are part of Telavox.

Qualifications

• You have a data engineering/ analytics engineering background with a strong data focus.
• Advanced SQL and dbt fundamentals (incremental models, snapshots, tests, macros).
• Strong BigQuery knowledge: partitioning, clustering, cost controls, performance.
• Experience building dimensional models or analytical schemas.
• Ability to translate business questions into durable data models and push back when needed.
• Working Python for tooling and automation.
• Familiarity with CDC concepts and tools (Fivetran) is a plus.
• Fluent English; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the dbt project: transform raw data into staged, modeled, documented, and tested tables across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Design and evolve data marts that encode real Telavox business logic in ways that survive org and product changes.
• Operate CDC pipelines, monitor health, respond to failures, and manage BigQuery cost and performance.
• Build and maintain the semantic layer that powers self-service and agentic analytics.
• Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to turn questions into durable data products rather than one-off reports.
