Job summary

SEB seeks a Data Engineer for its Financial Crime Prevention team. You will build and maintain Java-based services and data pipelines that help detect suspicious activity and support investigations, working with engineers, analysts and stakeholders.

You will design, implement, test, deploy and operate these systems in a collaborative environment, leveraging streaming, batch processing, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure, while exploring AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines (streaming and/or batch) and working with large-scale datasets.
• Strong Java (e.g., Java 11+) and building backend services (Spring/Spring Boot or similar).
• Hands-on with streaming/messaging (e.g., Pub/Sub) and event-driven architectures

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Java-based services and data processing capabilities to detect suspicious behavior and support investigations.
• End-to-end development from design to testing, deployment and operations, in close collaboration with engineers, analysts and stakeholders.
