Job summary

Arrowhead Game Studios AB is looking for a Data Engineer to design, optimize and operate our data infrastructure and backend systems in Stockholm. You will work with SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure, C#, ASP.NET Core, and cloud-native data services in a collaborative team.

You’ll help tune databases, implement observability, and build scalable data pipelines while ensuring high performance under production load for our co-op titles.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server tuning and query optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting for locking and concurrency issues.
• Proficiency in observability, monitoring, and alerting practices.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks like reports and data exports.
• Backend development experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Familiarity with Azure data services and cloud components.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient database structures using SQL Server.
• Ensure healthy DB operations under production load for players and designers.
• Create and maintain Grafana dashboards and diagnostics using Extended-Events.
• Operate and evolve Azure Data Factory pipelines and telemetry events.
• Develop backend solutions using C#, ASP.NET Core, and MS Orleans.
• Utilize Azure services to build cloud-based backend components.
