Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Data Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of building, optimizing, and supporting data products aligned with our target data vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from design to deployment and maintenance
• Build, optimize, and support scalable data pipelines and data products
• Implement and promote DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Design and manage cloud-based data infrastructure on GCP
• Ensure data products are:
  • Independently deployable
  • Secure, scalable, and highly available
  • Observable and performant
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to:
  • Define product vision
  • Identify new data product opportunities
• Work across teams to implement and support Data Mesh principles
• Continuously evaluate systems to reduce technical debt and improve performance
• Stay updated with latest data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including analytics and visualization teams

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with:
  • GCP tools: Dataflow, BigQuery
  • Data transformation: DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Proficiency in:
  • SQL or similar query languages
  • Programming languages: Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience working with:
  • Data formats: Avro, Parquet
  • Data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, normalization, denormalization)
• Databases:
  • Relational (RDBMS)
  • NoSQL systems
• Understanding of:
