Job summary

Nordplay Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Sweden and help build and develop our data infrastructure. This hands-on role involves owning reliable data pipelines, improving data quality, and ensuring data is accessible to support business decisions.

You will work closely with analysts and product teams to design, implement, and automate data solutions across our brands, enabling scalable analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining reliable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience cleaning, transforming and standardising data from multiple sources.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating data from different systems.
• Strong Python skills for data processing, integration and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, and dbt.
• Extract data from multiple sources, including APIs, and standardize it for consistent use across the organization.
• Develop and improve scalable data warehouse models for analytics and reporting.
• Own and continuously improve the dbt transformation layer, including models, tests, documentation, and deployments.
• Implement automated data‑quality checks to ensure data is accurate, complete, timely, and reliable.
• Automate pipeline deployment, monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes.
• Monitor production pipelines and resolve failures, performance issues, and changes in source data.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data products.

Working closely with our teams, you will help develop data solutions, automate processes and improving how we collect, transform and manage data across our brands.
