Job summary

LeoVegas Group is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and optimize batch and near real-time ELT pipelines in Google Cloud. You will collaborate with the data team to deliver scalable data solutions that support product development, marketing analytics and market discovery.

You will own ELT pipeline development, contribute to data modelling, and ensure quality and cost efficiency. The role requires strong SQL, Python, and modern data tooling experience in a fast-paced iGaming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in ELT data pipelines development.
• Strong knowledge of DBT, BigQuery, Airflow, Python, and SQL.
• Software engineering practices around test automation, CI/CD, version control.
• Knowledge about data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques

Responsibilities

• Build ELT pipelines from large, complex datasets.
• Integrate and support data pipelines for business records.
• Ingest data into Data Warehouse in the Google Cloud environment.
• Develop new integrations into the data warehouse.
• Deliver independently with strong knowledge of internal data systems

About The Role At LeoVegas, data is essential to all our decision making needs regarding customer behavior, marketing, social media, product development and discovery of new markets.

The Data Engineering Team is responsible for gathering and processing this information into consumable insights using Big Data technologies.

You will be responsible for elaborating new solutions, implementing and maintaining batch and near real-time ELT pipelines having quality, performance and costs optimization in mind. You will be collaborating with the wider team to optimize data flows, helping business records to integrate and support in the data pipelines.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Building the ELT pipelines out of complex and high-volume datasets
• Helping business records to integrate and support in the data pipelines
• Integrate, ingest and help improve the data into the Data Warehouse in the Google cloud environment
• Develop solutions for new integrations into the data warehouse.
• Deliver independently with strong knowledge of internal data systems.

Essential Skills

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• ELT data pipelines development
• Strong knowledge in DBT and BigQuery, Airflow, Python, SQL.
• Software engineering practices around test automation, CI/CD, version control
• Knowledge about data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Knowledge in streaming pipelines / Kafka
• Knowledge in Cloud Run
• iGaming industry experience
