Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Växjö, Sweden. You will support mission-critical infrastructure, perform hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and cross-connects, while coordinating with remote NOC and client teams.

The position requires 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, and familiarity with Dell/HP/Supermicro servers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills with Cat5e/6/6a and fiber types.
• Experience with server hardware from Dell, HP or Supermicro.
• Professional communication skills in English; on-site, on-call readiness.
• Data center certifications (CDCP/CDCS or similar) and network certs (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience

• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site
