Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Stockholm seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site contract work. You will install, decommission, and migrate hardware, perform structured cabling, racking, labeling, and cross-connects, while troubleshooting connectivity issues.

2+ years in data centers or IT infra, strong cabling skills, and professional English communication are essential. Candidates should be able to lift 50+ lbs, have own transport, and be comfortable working on-site in raised floor

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a; fiber) and server hardware experience.
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.
• Professional communication in English.
• Data center and network certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems is preferred.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Kista, Sweden. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Compensation

kr230-320/hr (SEK hourly)

Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.

Key Responsibilities
