Job summary

Amazon Data Services Sweden AB is seeking a Chief Engineer to ensure electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems operate at peak efficiency across data centers. The CE leads hands-on operations, guides engineers and vendors, and drives improvements to resiliency and cost efficiency.

The role requires managing cross-functional projects from ideation to completion, coordinating with global teams and ensuring safety standards are met while maintaining service availability at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive knowledge of UPS, backup generators and mechanical-room infrastructure.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents and drawings.
• Proficiency with IT programs such as Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers.
• Act as escalation point for facilities-related issues within the data center region.
• Design and build out of new facilities and manage large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Train and support EOTs and vendor teams; ensure safety procedures are followed.
