Job summary

Rasulson Consulting AB is seeking a Data Business Analyst to help build and scale an analytics solution that combines product, installed-base and commercial data. The role sits between business and technical data teams and is hands-on.

You will translate business needs into data requirements, map attributes to source systems, assess data quality, and support governance. Experience with STEP, Snowflake or Databricks, and BI/Power BI is valued.

Data Business Analyst – Analytics Solution for Product, Installed-Base and Commercial Data

About the role

Our client is looking for a Data Business Analyst to help build and scale an analytics solution that brings together product, installed-base and commercial data. The role is hands-on and sits between the business and the technical data teams.

Responsibilities

• Turn business rules and use cases into clear data requirements
• Map required data attributes to their source systems
• Evaluate how available, complete, accurate and reliable the data is
• Identify data gaps and coordinate corrections and enrichment together with Business, Product Management, Master Data Management and Analytics/BI
• Validate data before it is implemented in BI
• Support sustainable data governance, including ownership, definitions and quality standards
• Deliver documented requirements, data mappings, gap assessments and prioritized improvement actions

Required skills and experience

• Several years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst or in a comparable role, converting business needs into data requirements
• Practical experience with data profiling and analysis using tools such as SQL and Excel/Power Query
• Experience with master data, product data and data quality in PIM/MDM environments
• Solid understanding of data governance, including ownership, definitions, quality rules and stewardship
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across business and IT functions
• Excellent documentation skills and fluency in spoken and written English
• Experience with STEP (Stibo Systems)
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
• Background in the aftermarket or parts and accessories space, such as product compatibility, installed base or spare parts
• Experience working with BI/Power BI teams, analytics or recommendation models
• Ability to start at short notice
