Job summary

Hitachi Energy Västerås is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join the HVDC Cybersecurity team. You will contribute to strengthening cybersecurity posture across HVDC projects and services, aligning with IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 standards, and collaborating with a diverse global team.

You will work on implementing cybersecurity tools, supporting multiple projects in parallel, and driving cybersecurity initiatives across our HVDC portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in computer science, IT- or OT-security or equivalent.
• 6 years of working experience from IT, OT or information security field, preferably from industry.
• Skilled in the 62443 framework.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or NIS Directive.
• Proficiency and fluency in English is required in an international setting.

Responsibilities

• Improve HVDC cybersecurity posture and offerings; advance cybersecurity strategy implementation.
• Support many projects in parallel and help streamline cybersecurity solutions.
• Assist with implementation of cybersecurity tools, running them and analyzing results.
• Be part of the development of the HVDC Cybersecurity team.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

The purpose of the HVDC Cybersecurity function team is to ensure and improve a high level of cybersecurity across HVDC, in our projects and service agreements. We are responsible for Cybersecurity outreach and awareness to our internal and external stakeholder groups across HVDC and for our strategic cybersecurity initiatives, including the Cybersecurity Certification program (IEC 62443 & others), organizational compliance programs, and cybersecurity projects.

How you´ll make an impact

• Together with the team you will focus on continually improving HVDCs cybersecurity posture and offerings and advancing the implementation of the cybersecurity strategy.
• You will support many projects in parallel and you will, with the support of the cybersecurity team, help the projects to streamline the cybersecurity solutions.
• Help with implementation of cybersecurity tools, running them and analyzing the results.
• Be a part of the development of the HVDC Cybersecurity team.

Your background

• Bachelor in computer science, IT- or OT-security or equivalent
• You have 6 years of working experience from the IT-, OT or information security field, preferably from the industry sector.
• You are skilled in the 62443 framework.
• Knowledge of the ISO 27001 standard, and/or knowledge of the NIS-directive.
• You are an engaged person who thrives in a constantly changing environment and enjoys collaboration with employees, peers and beyond.
• Proficiency and fluency in English is required since you will be part of an international setting.
