Job summary

VAROPreem i Stockholm söker en erfaren Tullchef som leder och vidareutvecklar den svenska tullfunktionen. Du rapporterar till ledningen och arbetar över funktioner för att uppnå tydlig governance och effektiva tullprocesser.

Du driver förändring och digitalisering, stödjer affärsprojekt ur tullperspektiv och skapar långsiktiga värden genom robust efterlevnad och affärsnytta.

Qualifications

• Krav på minst 7 års erfarenhet inom tull, indirekt skatt eller internationell handel.
• Ledarskapserfarenhet, gärna i grupp eller specialistteam.
• Stark kompetens inom tull‑ och handelsregler samt governance.

Responsibilities

• Leda och vidareutveckla VAROPreems svenska tullfunktion och team.
• Säkerställa efterlevnad och god styrning över affären.
• Ge sakkunnigt stöd i tull, import/export och handelsregler.
• Upprätthålla tullprocedurer i linje med svenska Tullverket och AEO‑krav.
• Driva processförbättringar och digitalisering av tullprocesser.
• Bygga relationer med myndigheter, tullmäklare och intressenter.
• Följ upp regelverk och implementera förändringar i verksamheten.

Are you an experienced customs professional with strong leadership capabilities and the expertise to navigate complex customs regulations and drive compliance excellence? About The Role

As Customs Manager, you will lead and further develop VAROPreem's Swedish customs function, ensuring compliant and efficient customs operations while serving as a trusted advisor to the business. You will lead a team of customs professionals, drive governance and continuous improvement initiatives, and support strategic business developments from a customs perspective.

Based in Stockholm, this role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and offers the opportunity to shape the future customs agenda within a highly regulated international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coordinate the Swedish Customs team.
• Ensure compliant customs operations and governance across the business.
• Provide expert advice on customs, import/export, and trade compliance matters.
• Maintain and develop customs procedures in line with Swedish Customs Authority and AEO requirements.
• Drive process improvements, digitalization, and customs governance initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with authorities, customs brokers, and stakeholders.
• Support business projects and operational changes from a customs perspective.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation within the business.

Requirements

• A relevant university degree in Law, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience within customs, indirect tax, or international trade compliance gained from a multinational company, advisory firm, or the Swedish Customs Authority.
• Proven leadership experience, either through formal people management or leading specialist teams.
• Strong expertise in customs compliance, governance, and international trade regulations.
• Experience with AEO requirements, process improvements, digitalization, and external customs service providers.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience from the energy sector, refining, chemicals, or another highly regulated industry is an advantage.
• Excellent Swedish and English language skills.
