If you thrive in a fast paced, time critical environment and enjoy solving complex operational challenges with a calm and structured approach, this could be the role for you.

Challenges You Will Work On
  • Continuously optimizing planned crew resources with focus on safety, quality, punctuality, regularity, and cost efficiency.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to short term operational disruptions, traffic disturbances, and ad hoc schedule changes.
  • Minimizing the impact of irregularities on crew through effective crew tracking, system usage, and decision making.
  • Safeguarding compliance with Operations Manuals, collective agreements, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring KPIs, proactively identifying improvement areas, and supporting performance development.
  • Securing crew qualifications and training execution for cabin and flight deck crew to avoid productivity loss and additional cost.
  • Monitoring deviations from released schedules and coordinating recovery actions to reduce unmanned flights.

You will work closely with other OCC functions to ensure stable daily operations and effective disruption management.

The Team

You will be part of the Operations Control Center (OCC) at SAS, collaborating closely with colleagues across Crew Management, Roster Maintenance, Crew Support, Training Planning, and Resource Planning. Together, the team ensures safe, punctual, and efficient operations in a dynamic and demanding environment.

To be successful we believe you have

  • Minimum 3 years of experience from operational airline environments or similar complex, real time operational organizations.
  • Experience in crew control, crew planning, operations control, or equivalent roles (highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of regulations, collective agreements, and internal policies related to flight operations and staffing.
  • Strong IT proficiency and confidence working in operational systems (experience with CMS or similar tools is an advantage).
  • Post secondary education in aviation, logistics, operations management, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish), written and spoken.
Personal attributes
  • High integrity and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Logical and analytical with confidence handling numerical data.
  • Structured, process oriented, solution and result driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks in time critical, high-pressure situations.
  • Decisive with strong prioritization skills under stress.
  • Proactive, team oriented, and able to build trustful relationships with crew and stakeholders.
