Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to support a major industrial transformation program in Norrbotten County, Sweden. The role sits in Project Controls and drives robust cost management, forecasting, and reporting across the project lifecycle.

You will lead cost control activities, establish budgets, monitor costs, and produce weekly/monthly cost reports, while collaborating with PM, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams in a dynamic, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on cost control with major capital projects.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost management capabilities.
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills.
• Fluent English with good communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead all cost control activities across the project.
• Establish and maintain budgets, CBS, and control accounts.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals and forecasts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Track variances, risks and opportunities.
• Support change management and cost impact assessments.
• Collaborate with PM, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Finance.
• Develop cost forecasting models and cash flow projections.
• Monitor contingency usage and advise management.
• Ensure data accuracy across reporting systems.
• Provide commercial insights for decision-making.
