Job summary

Voith Group seeks a Financial Controller to take overall financial responsibility for our Swedish operations. This high-impact role blends strategic participation with hands-on leadership of a skilled finance team.

You will drive budgeting, closings, and robust cost accounting across three Swedish entities. You will partner with the local management team, challenge commercial decisions, and liaise with our German headquarters to maintain strong governance and global consistency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the finance team, manage workloads, and participate in daily tasks.
• Own budgeting and monthly, half-year, and year-end closings; ensure compliance with local regulations and German parent standards.
• Drive product costing processes to guarantee accurate margins and data for decisions.
• Act as financial advisor within the local management team and support commercial decisions.
• Maintain robust accounting procedures and internal controls across Swedish entities.
• Serve as liaison between Swedish operations and corporate headquarters in Germany.
• Ensure visibility from profitability to daily orders and invoices.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the finance team, while managing workloads and actively participating in daily operational tasks.
• Financial Reporting: Take full ownership of budgeting, as well as monthly, half-year, and year-end closings. Ensure all reporting complies with local regulations and corporate standards for our German parent company. (Note: We operate on a split financial year ending September 30th).
• Product Costing & Analysis: Drive, manage, and continuously develop our product costing processes to guarantee accurate margins and reliable data for strategic decision-making.
• Management Team Collaboration: Act as the key financial advisor and a commercially minded decision-maker within the local management team.
• Process Optimization: Maintain and improve robust accounting procedures and internal controls across all three Swedish business entities.
• Corporate Liaison: Serve as the natural, day-to-day link between the Swedish operations and the corporate headquarters in Germany.
• End-to-End Financial Oversight: Maintain complete visibility over everything from high-level business profitability down to the daily flow of orders and invoices.
