Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Figeholm is seeking a Local ITM & Continuous Improvement Leader to drive sustainable improvements across the factory value chain. You will develop ITM maturity and link improvements to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost, collaborating with management and cross‑functional teams to turn strategy into practical actions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Continuous Improvement in manufacturing.
  • 5+ years driving change and engagement across teams.
  • Knowledge of Lean and ITM tools (5S, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Practical Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Agile/Scrum certifications are advantages.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and training skills to develop others.
  • Good command of English; Swedish language skills are beneficial locally.
  • Structured and analytical mindset translating strategy and KPIs into actions.

  • Develop and implement Strategy Deployment, Obeya, KPIs, and improvement plans with cross‑functional teams.
  • Improve daily management, Factory Standard Work, and integrated improvement systems.
  • Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost with productivity gains.
  • Create, lead and follow up on improvement projects with sustained results.
  • Train, coach and develop employees in ITM tools and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Report to the Factory Manager and support strategy execution and business development.

The opportunity


The Figeholm business unit is a modern production facility that manufactures electrical insulation materials in sheet and laminate form, as well as pressboard insulation components. The products are of high quality and are delivered to customers worldwide.


As a Local ITM & Continuous Improvement Leader at Hitachi Energy in Figeholm, you will play a key role in driving sustainable improvements and change initiatives across the factory’s entire value chain. The position focuses on developing the maturity of the Integrated Transformer Management System (ITM) and Continuous Improvement, with a clear connection to improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost.


You will work closely with factory management and cross-functional teams to turn strategy into practical actions, strengthen daily management, and help create a culture where continuous improvement is a natural part of how the business operates.


How You Will Make an Impact



  • Drive and support the implementation of the ITM system and help increase Continuous Improvement maturity within the factory.

  • Work with factory management and cross-functional teams to develop and implement Strategy Deployment, Operations Center/Obeya, KPIs, and improvement plans.

  • Improve daily management, Factory Standard Work, and an integrated improvement management system.

  • Drive improvements related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost, while contributing to cost reduction and productivity improvements.

  • Create, lead, and follow up on improvement projects and ensure results are sustained over time.

  • Train, coach, and develop employees and leaders in ITM tools, methods, and problem-solving techniques to build local capability and ownership.

  • Report directly to the Factory Manager and play a key role in supporting the management team with strategy execution, business development, and continuous improvement.


Your Background



  • Proven experience in Continuous Improvement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with 5+ years being an advantage.

  • Documented success in leading change management initiatives and driving engagement across teams and functions.

  • Knowledge of Lean and ITM tools such as 5S, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Practical Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.

  • Lean Leader, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Agile/Scrum certifications are considered an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and training skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.

  • Good command of English (minimum B2 level); Swedish language skills are beneficial in the local environment.

  • Structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate strategy and KPIs into practical actions and measurable business results.
