Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Compliance Engineer to join our Mill Services Asset Management team in Sweden. You will develop and improve our PED and CE-marking framework, ensuring pressure equipment remains safe and compliant across its lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Notified Bodies, authorities, and internal teams, applying your knowledge of regulations and maintenance processes to guide suppliers and improve asset integrity, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and contribute to ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, materials, process engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU), CE marking and relevant Swedish regulations.
• A background working with pressure equipment, gas systems, pipelines or industrial process facilities.
• Good understanding of maintenance processes, asset integrity and lifecycle management.
• Confident working with suppliers, contractors and technical stakeholders across different parts of an organisation.
• Ability to assess complex compliance questions and turn regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
• Experience with CMMS, digital maintenance systems or relevant ISO standards is an advantage.
• Very good English communication skills. Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve PED and CE-marking framework, processes and ways of working.
• Apply your expertise to assess compliance and guide teams on PED, CE marking and pressure equipment requirements.
• Coordinate technical matters with Notified Bodies, authorities, inspection agencies and external auditors.
• Develop and apply digital solutions that make compliance easier to manage and maintain.
• Assess supplier and contractor compliance and develop clear requirements for external partners.
• Support audits, identify gaps and coordinate improvements to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Guide and mentor colleagues through practical advice, training and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to improvements in maintenance, asset integrity and lifecycle management, including relevant ISO standards.
