With a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects throughout Europe, the business is committed to maintaining the highest standards of workforce compliance, ethical labour practices, employee welfare, and responsible supply chain management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Advisor to play a key role in supporting and enhancing compliance standards on a major data centre project in Horndal, Sweden.

The Role

As Compliance Advisor, you will support the implementation and monitoring of compliance standards across the project, ensuring adherence to Swedish and EU labour legislation, client requirements, and company policies.

Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, labour providers, and senior stakeholders, you will help identify and manage compliance risks, support audits and inspections, and promote best practice across the workforce and supply chain.

The position combines compliance administration with stakeholder engagement and is well suited to someone looking to develop their career within compliance in a major international construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of compliance standards across the project.

  • Review workforce compliance documentation, including employment contracts, right-to-work records, timesheets, payslips, and posted worker documentation.

  • Monitor subcontractor and labour agency compliance against project and legislative requirements.

  • Identify potential labour, welfare, and ethical compliance risks and support the implementation of corrective actions.

  • Participate in compliance audits, inspections, and workforce welfare reviews.

  • Support investigations into compliance concerns and assist with the resolution of non-conformances.

  • Deliver or support training sessions and toolbox talks relating to ethical labour standards and modern slavery awareness.

  • Produce compliance reports, maintain accurate records, and contribute to project KPI reporting.

  • Act as a point of contact for compliance queries from project teams and subcontractors.

  • Work closely with Procurement, HR, HSE, and Project Management teams to embed strong compliance and ethical labour practices across the project.

About You

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Compliance, Human Resources, Law, Social Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience within compliance, labour compliance, HR compliance, social compliance, workforce welfare, ESG, or a related area.

  • Knowledge of labour legislation and workforce compliance requirements.

  • Understanding of Swedish labour law, posted worker regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and contractor compliance obligations would be highly advantageous.

  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance reviews.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Fluent in English; Swedish would be highly beneficial but is not essential.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
