Job summary

WeQuel is seeking a senior Commissioning Lead to support a large-scale DeltaV process system migration in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The assignment is fully on-site within a complex production facility, and you will own scope from planning through execution.

You will work closely with CQV, Automation, and Operations in a cross-functional project organization, coordinating commissioning activities, testing, deviations, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience commissioning pharmaceutical or API manufacturing facilities.
• Strong background in DCS/PLC/SCADA systems in regulated environments.
• Hands-on DeltaV experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities within an assigned process area.
• Define and execute a risk-based test strategy based on process requirements and functional design specifications.
• Perform functional and scenario-based testing across multiple software and batch control levels.
• Identify, document, and track issues and deviations.
• Coordinate re-testing and verification of fixes together with Automation and CQV teams.
• Support development and execution of IQ/OQ test scripts.
• Participate in operational test runs and performance qualification activities.
• Support operators during test execution and handle deviations.
• Provide structured daily status reporting and risk escalation.
• Plan test windows and resource needs for your commissioning scope.

Commissioning Lead – Emerson DeltaV Process System Migration (Pharma)

We are looking for a senior Commissioning Lead to support a large-scale process control system migration project in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The assignment is fully on-site and involves leading commissioning activities within a defined process area in a complex production facility.

You will take ownership of your scope from planning through execution, working closely with CQV, Automation, and Operations in a cross-functional project organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities within an assigned process area
• Define and execute a risk-based test strategy based on process requirements and functional design specifications
• Perform functional and scenario-based testing across multiple software and batch control levels
• Identify, document, and track issues and deviations

Required Experience

• Proven experience commissioning pharmaceutical or API manufacturing facilities
• Strong background in DCS / PLC / SCADA systems in regulated environments
• Experience working in large and complex plant environments
• Good knowledge of GMP and data integrity principles (ALCOA+)
• Familiar with change control, deviation handling, and qualification processes
• Hands-on DeltaV experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and verify control system configuration efficiently
