Safety Bolt is seeking a high-caliber operations leader to build an AI-first company from the ground up in Sweden. You will own end-to-end operations, automate processes, and drive growth in a high-uncertainty environment.

With a signed LOI for 47,000 sensors, you will turn strategic intent into delivered revenue, shape the commercial and financial engine, and recruit the next wave of leaders as the company scales.

The Role

You will be given ownership in the company, and you will take full ownership of the end-to-end operations and more, to proactively grow the company at a high pace and in high uncertainty. This role is not about passively benefiting from a rapid valuation increase, it is about actively driving that increase yourself. Delivering on our first LOI may in itself 6X our valuation, while we target a >50X increase over the next 4 years, within a far larger underlying market.

To get there, I will give you a broad mandate and responsibility, with a gradually widening scope that reaches into commercial and strategic execution. You will work closely with me, and you will, over time, run and grow Safety Bolt to enable me to focus on strategic customers, partnerships, and capital. The full scope covers the commercial pipeline, finance, hiring, compliance, and the administrative machinery that holds it all together. Part of this is strategic, but a large majority is execution. At this stage it’s about doing, less about planning and managing. However, I expect you to be an advanced AI native, to use these skills to automate as much of the company as possible, and to leverage yourself as well as the company so we spend our time on increasingly valuable tasks.

What you will do

• Build an AI-first organization with me from the ground up: every recurring process, from pipeline to reporting to admin, gets automated before it gets a headcount
• Take ownership of the day-to-day operations, and take the proactive lead on decisions from your first week
• Convert the signed Letter of Intent for 47,000 sensors into delivered, invoiced revenue
• Build the commercial pipeline end to end: who buys, what we say, what it costs, how long it takes, and what shortens it
• Over time, take ownership (together with the Founder’s Associate) of the financial engine: cash plan, monthly close, board and investor reporting, and preparation of the next round
• Recruit and onboard the next wave of hires, and build their operating structure
• Extend your role wherever you see you can add the most value, and shape the company’s vision and path with me

Must have

• 2+ years at a top-tier strategy consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or similar, with the analytical toolkit and pace that implies
• Experience at an early-stage startup in an exposed, leading position with real skin in the game. You need to know what full ownership looks like
• Comfortable with operating across many domains at once: commercial, financial, operational, and administrative
• High agency and self-direction. You decide what matters next without being told, and you take it to its full conclusion (delivering value, not crossing off a to-do)
• Practical fluency with AI as a working tool. You use it daily, as an integral part of your work to deliver real value and automation

Nice to have

• Been a founder or co-founder of a company. Commercial success is not a requirement
• Background in or commercial exposure to heavy industry: wind energy, mining, marine, oil and gas, or infrastructure
• Experience with hardware businesses, and an understanding of their development requirements and commercial sales cycles
• Experience preparing or running a venture fundraise
• Experience building and leading a team through a period of rapid headcount growth

Education

MSc in Business, Economics, or equivalent. The academic background matters less here than demonstrated judgement and delivery, but the analytical foundation is much needed.

8+ years combining top-tier consulting with early-stage startup operating experience. I am looking for someone who can run a company, not someone learning to.
