NKT is seeking a Category Specialist – Construction Procurement to lead construction spend across Europe. You will develop category strategies, run sourcing events, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts while managing supplier performance and risk across multiple projects.
The role is based in Sweden with travel to sites such as Malmö or Karlskrona and involves collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

As Category Specialist – Construction Procurement, you will manage key construction categories across NKT’s European sites, supporting projects with sourcing, supplier management, and contract processes. In this role, you will manage construction-related categories such as civil works, materials, contractors, and subcontracting. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with timelines, budgets, and requirements, ensuring quality and supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be part of a procurement team collaborating with multiple project stakeholders across Europe. The position is based in Sweden at one of NKT’s locations Malmö or Karlskrona, with some travel required.
You are someone who works well with others and builds trust across teams and suppliers. You approach tasks with structure and attention to detail, while remaining adaptable in a project-based environment. You communicate clearly and contribute to constructive collaboration. You are motivated by working with multiple stakeholders and finding balanced solutions in complex situations.
