Job summary

Perido AB is seeking a commercially driven Category Buyer for Services to join our client’s automotive-focused organization in Gothenburg. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier relationships, and negotiations across HR, facility, legal, and other professional services.

The successful candidate will develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and act as a Purchasing Business Partner to designated departments, ensuring best value and strong contract terms from external providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
• Five years of experience in purchasing, including at least three years in service category.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across functions and with suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills to review spend data, proposals, and business needs.
• Experience with service categories such as professional or corporate services, HR services, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing activities for selected service categories following company processes.
• Develop category strategies and manage supplier relationships.

Are you a commercially driven buyer looking for a strategic role in the fast-paced automotive industry? As Category Buyer, you will manage sourcing, supplier relationships, and negotiations across a range of professional services while helping drive value for a global organization.

About the position

Perido is looking for a Category Buyer for our client, an automobile company that brings mobility technology and solutions to satisfy the global demand for premium electric vehicles. The position is located in the office in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks

In the role of Category Buyer for Services, you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities in accordance with company processes and policies for selected service categories, including HR services, facility services, legal services, and other professional services. The role includes developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and acting as a Purchasing Business Partner for designated departments. The main objective is to secure the best overall value, quality, and contractual terms from external service providers.

Your characteristics

The role requires a proactive, accountable, open-minded, and solution-oriented approach, together with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing industry, evolving corporate priorities, and increasingly digital sourcing tools. You should also demonstrate resilience and strong influencing skills when managing high-stakes commercial contract negotiations and enforcing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in purchasing, including at least three years in service category
• Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and manage different stakeholder needs, and maintain relationship with external suppliers
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review spending data, cost breakdowns,
  supplier proposals, and business requirements
• Solid understanding of commercial terms, statements of work, contract structures, and basic risk mitigation principles
• Experience from service categories, such as professional services, corporate services, facility services, HR services, or similar areas
• Fast learning ability, to quickly understand business needs and history background, supplier markets, internal processes, and to convert this knowledge into effective purchasing actions with limited onboarding time
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment until 2027-03-21. Start 2026-09-21.
