Horse Powertrain Sweden is seeking a calibration engineer to join a skilled team focused on drivability. You will calibrate and develop functions, perform tests in the lab, in vehicles on site and under extreme conditions, and use advanced programs for coding, modelling and data processing.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Physics or Electrical Engineering; fluency in English; proficiency in Matlab, Python and Simulink; a valid driver’s license (B).

You will work in a team with experienced engineers but have a clear area of responsibility. Your tasks will be to calibrate and develop functions within drivability. Perform a variety of tests located in different places, e.g. in our laboratory, in test vehicles on site and during expeditions in extreme conditions like hot/cold climates and altitudes. You will use advanced programs for coding, modelling and data processing.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in the field of Mechanical, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• You have a passion for cars and internal combustion engines.
• Fluent in Matlab/Python/Simulink
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver’s license (B-level, passenger car)

Appreciated qualifications:

• Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of combustion engines, transmissions and electric drives
• Passion for vehicles and powertrains
• Theoretical courses in combustion engines, software programming and electronics
• Experience in ETAS INCA software

Personal qualities

• Self-driven with a positive attitude
• Strong analytical skills as well as being able to execute tests “hands-on”
• You plan, conduct, summarize and report your work in a structured and thorough manner
