Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a Test Engineer within the MACH Control System integration team to ensure the quality and reliability of advanced control systems for critical energy infrastructure.

You will work in a state-of-the-art test lab, build and maintain test setups, execute validation activities, and support the development of high-performance control systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field
  • 3+ years in embedded systems development or testing
  • ISTQB certification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, automation frameworks, scripting, and tools such as Microsoft OS, SQL, Azure DevOps/TFS
  • Experience with graphical tools (Hidraw, MACH platform) and measurement equipment
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain test environments using MACH components, including hardware, servers, I/O boards, and simulation platforms
  • Develop and execute test cases and scenarios to validate system functionalities such as communication, analog, and digital signals
  • Perform testing for software and hardware releases, ensuring accurate reporting of results to development teams
  • Maintain and update lab environments with the latest hardware and software configurations
  • Automate test execution using internal test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Support integration team activities, including lab maintenance, license management, and customer support
  • Ensure high quality standards through structured testing and attention to detail while maintaining a system-level perspective

The Opportunity

Your Background

  • Experience with graphical tools (e.g., Hidraw, MACH platform) and measurement equipment is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to understand the bigger system context
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage, with strong teamwork and ownership mindset
