Job Description

In this role you will be part of a new expanding department that will focus on type testing and type approvals within HVDC for Electrical Environment. We are part of Control & Protection for hardware design, designing the automation system layout with placement of circuit boards and cable channeling, creating a control cabinet layout consisting of hundreds of circuit boards for measurements, control and calculations, and developing user interfaces such as HMI, diagnostic tools and IT infrastructure and IT security. We utilize our in-house developed real-time platform MACH to meet the power industry’s standards. In this position you will have a broader scope than the actual testing, including requirements, standards, test setup, evaluation of test results and participation in the actual testing activities. You will work with international customers and contribute to process implementation for type testing.

Responsibilities

• Arrange type testing for cubicles by using third‑party test institutions or in‑house testing.
• Ensure that test plans contain the relevant content in alignment with the business need.
• Be involved in the test setup and interact with the testing, such as fault tracing.
• Review test reports.
• Contribute to developing the requirements according to international standards, customer needs and internal needs.
• Work with international customers.
• Contribute to process implementation for type testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience from type testing and type approval, with strong experience testing equipment based on requirements and standards, especially within electrical hardware.
• Experience working with standards and requirements in a business environment, such as IEC and IEEE.
• Knowledge within EMC, climatic tests, mechanical tests and safety.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field such as electrical, mechanical or technical, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using measurement devices and testing tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and networking skills; fluency in English is required; Swedish is a merit.
• Experience working globally with people from different cultures and countries is a merit.
