Job description
This position is within one of TRATON’s companies.
Business Change Manager - in an Agile & Global Environment

Are you looking for a role where technology meets people – and where you ensure that thousands of users actually understand what’s happening during releases? Great! Then you should keep reading.

TRATON is a group of strong brands with a shared mission: transforming transportation together to create the future of sustainable transport solutions. Within TRATON, we include MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International. As part of a global team of industry experts, you get to think bigger, experience more, and reach further. Together, we have the power to transform transportation – Let’s make a difference together. Find out more: https://www.traton.com

Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.

As a Business Change Manager, you will play a central role in our Business Change Management function within CAD/vPDM – a department of around 150 people developing and maintaining CAD and PLM systems for vehicle development and production, supporting over 13,000 users globally.

The role combines operational Business change management for system releases with strategic work to strengthen our ability to plan, communicate, and execute changes in a global and complex organization. To be clear, for this role you do NOT need to be a CAD expert.

Our Transformation Journey

We are in the middle of an exciting transformation:

  • Globally: Entering the TRATON Group means new stakeholders, a larger communication landscape, and a more diverse user base.
  • Internally: In 2026, we will implement new ways of working and structures to create a more reliable, professional, and user-centrisk release and change process. Your contribution will be crucial in driving this change.
What You Will Actually Do

As a Business Change Manager, you help ensure that our system releases land smoothly. You translate technical updates into understandable language, build structures that last over time, and make sure that changes not only happen but are also understood.

  • Lead releases from a business change management perspective. You plan, coordinate, and execute change activities together with the development teams. You support them in performing the right BCM activities at the right time and help them understand what users really need to succeed.
  • Make complex things understandable. Release notes, instructions, communication packages – you help produce material that is both accurate and human. You write for real people, not robots.
  • Take a holistic approach for major releases. You conduct impact analyses, map stakeholders, create communication plans, engage our change ambassadors, and follow up so we continuously improve.
  • Help build a more mature Business Change Management function. 2026 will be the year we take a step forward in our change capability. You will be a driving force in implementing new frameworks, developing ways of working, and supporting roles such as project managers, flow initiative owners, product owners, and business analysts in becoming more confident change leaders.
  • Shape our global presence within TRATON. More countries. More environments. More perspectives. You help us navigate the expanded communication landscape and build a more coordinated change approach across all TRATON brands.
The Impact You’ll Make
  • A clear framework for how we communicate and engage users during changes.
  • A stronger BCM culture within the development organization.
  • Structures for feedback, measurement, and follow‑up.
  • A growing network of change ambassadors.
  • A user base that experiences us as a reliable, professional, and easy‑to‑collaborate‑with release organization.
What We’re Looking For

You are a structured and communicative change leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys making change understandable and engaging. You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and have a genuine interest in how technology impacts people and organizations.

Here’s what we hope you bring:

  • Experience in business change management in digital, technical, or system‑development‑related environments.
  • Ability to plan and execute structured change activities.
  • Strong communication skills – both in developing content and facilitating stakeholder dialogue.
  • Confidence in training, coaching, and supporting others in change management (e.g., workshops, training sessions).
  • Ability to work with many different target groups and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.
Meriting
  • Experience with or understanding of CAD/PLM systems, or other complex technical environments.
  • Background in agile organizations.
  • A genuine curiosity about how technology shapes people and organizations.
This Is Us

You will join the Business Change Management team within CAD/vPDM, working closely with product owners, project managers, developers, and other roles in our agile organization. We are a collaborative and forward‑thinking team committed to creating a professional, user‑centric release and change process.

Within TRATON Group R&D, you are an important part of something bigger. Joining us means gaining access to the ins and outs of the entire transportation industry.

TRATON Offers

We offer a dynamic, flexible workplace with hybrid work options, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, TRATON Group R&D supports your career growth both locally and internationally. Benefits include wellness allowance, bonus, flexible hours, and company car leasing. We also host events for employees and their families, and Stockholm residents enjoy direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses for an easy commute to Södertälje.
