Wrknest is recruiting a Backend Software Engineer on behalf of an international technology company based in Stockholm. The company develops advanced connected platforms used by businesses and consumers worldwide, with a strong focus on networking, cloud infrastructure, and smart device ecosystems.

Responsibilities
ou will play an important role in designing and developing backend services that support large-scale connected systems and applications. The role involves close collaboration with several technical teams and offers the opportunity to influence both architecture and development processes.
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Developing secure, scalable, and maintainable APIs and workflows
- Contributing to architectural discussions and technical decisions
- Reviewing code and supporting high engineering standards and release quality
- Investigating production issues and implementing robust solutionsCollaborating with teams within embedded, web, mobile, product, and design
- Improving reliability, observability, and developer experience across services
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Node.js and TypeScript
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience developing software for connected devices, infrastructure products, networking systems, or similar complex environments
- Good understanding of web security, including OWASP, OAuth, and browser security fundamentals
- Strong debugging skills and experience with defensive programming
- Professional experience with Git, Unix/Linux, and Docker-based environments
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Valid Swedish work permit and residence in Sweden at the time of application

- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and build pipelines
- Experience using AI tools and LLMs to improve engineering workflows and productivity
