Job summary

Functional Software Stockholm AB is seeking a senior developer to join our team working on advanced geospatial features for Apple Maps. You will contribute to implementing features in Scala/Java/C++, and work with Spark or Flink in a complex data domain to deliver impactful solutions.

The role requires ownership of design and delivery, strong English communication, and collaboration across teams. The position is based in Malmö with 3 days on site, starting immediately for a 12-month engagement

Qualifications

• Very strong in programming, system design and problem solving.
• At least +8 years of experience in development
• Professional experience from writing code in Scala, Java, C++ or similar.
• Professional experience with Spark or Flink.
• Ability to take ownership, identify requirements, prioritise and make progress in an environment with limited given input.
• Fluent communication in English with a sense for listen to others as well as getting you message through in a crisp way.
• Experience in cross team collaboration and communication.
