Axis Communications AB seeks a Backend Developer in Lund to design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications powering core business systems. You will work on new features and modernizing existing platforms, ensuring performance and reliability at scale.

You'll join a diverse team at Axis HQ in Lund, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to secure technology solutions for a global audience. This role blends backend development with DevOps across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with Python and/or PHP.
• Strong Linux command-line proficiency.
• Experience writing Bash scripts for automation.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and queue systems.
• Experience with MySQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Python and PHP.
• Manage and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure in a Linux environment.
• Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to deliver features.
• Take ownership of features from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Refactor and improve existing legacy codebases.
• Identify and propose improvements to systems and processes.
