Job summary

Relox Robotics is seeking a Robot Software Engineer to develop intelligent behaviors for robots operating in real outdoor environments. You’ll work across the software stack from hardware integration to high-level autonomy, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure high-quality code and rapid iteration from simulation to field.

Qualifications

• Experience in C++ and/or Python required or strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with ROS or ROS2.
• Background in robotics, automation, or embedded systems.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Structured, thoughtful approach to software engineering.
• Hands-on with real hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the robot software stack, including autonomy, navigation, and system integration.
• Work with ROS2, C++, and Python on real robotic systems.
• Implement and refine behavior trees, sensor integration, and control logic.
• Build tools, tests, and simulations to ensure robustness and quality.
• Analyze data from field testing and real-world operation to drive improvements.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical engineers.
