Job summary

SHiC (Scandinavia Haining Center AB) is seeking an Automotive Test Engineer to join the Project Management team in Stockholm. This full-time, on-site role focuses on vehicle preparation, in-vehicle systems, intelligent cockpit and autonomous driving testing.

You will design and execute tests, analyze results and support project delivery. Responsibilities include testing of in-vehicle systems, road and simulation testing for autonomous driving, and producing clear test records and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of automotive, vehicle, or software testing.
• EU driving licence.
• Experience with JIRA and TestRail.
• Programming knowledge in Python, C++, or Java.
• Fluent English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming test vehicles and equipment, and coordinate troubleshooting before testing.
• Design, execute and maintain test cases for in-vehicle systems, intelligent cockpit functions and autonomous driving systems.
• Perform functional, performance and stability testing.
• Record and analyze test data, report software defects and support improvements.
• Conduct road and simulation testing for autonomous driving systems.
• Prepare vehicles and testing equipment, including software deployment and configuration.
• Troubleshoot software issues during testing and support other test engineers.
• Prepare clear test records and documentation for project teams and customers.

Role Description

We are looking for an Automotive Test Engineer to join our Project Management team in Stockholm.

This is a full-time, on-site position focused on vehicle preparation, in-vehicle systems, intelligent cockpit and autonomous driving testing.

You will be responsible for preparing vehicles and test equipment, designing and executing test cases, conducting road and simulation tests, analyzing test data, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming test vehicles, including vehicle condition, battery level, exterior condition and relevant documentation, and coordinate troubleshooting before testing.
• Design, execute and maintain test cases for in-vehicle systems, intelligent cockpit functions and autonomous driving systems.
• Perform functional, performance and stability testing.
• Record and analyze test data, reproduce and report software defects, and support issue resolution and functional improvement.
• Conduct road and simulation testing for autonomous driving systems, including evaluation of vehicle behavior and environmental perception.
• Prepare vehicles and testing equipment, including software deployment, vehicle-side configuration and connection of PCs, industrial computers, routers and other auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot software and computer-related issues during testing and provide technical support to other test engineers when required.
• Prepare clear test records and technical documentation for project teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automotive, vehicle or software testing.
• Valid EU driving licence.
• Experience in software testing processes and tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Programming knowledge in Python, C++ or Java; experience with automated testing is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently identify, reproduce and analyze technical issues.
• Fluent Chinese and English, both written and spoken, for professional communication.
• Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
• Responsible, proactive and able to work flexibly according to project schedules and testing requirements.

Experience with EV systems, intelligent cockpit or autonomous driving/ADAS testing is highly desirable.
