Technicon Design is seeking a Project Manager / Assignment Leader to support a major localization initiative tied to a new production hub in China. You will coordinate localization activities and ensure on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across Production, Logistics, R&D and Purchasing, manage plans, risks and stakeholders, and strive to reduce lead times and improve execution.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering.
  • Several years' experience within an automotive R&D environment.
  • Solid understanding of product development processes.
  • Strong product knowledge.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, Assignment Leadership, or similar coordination roles.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Assignment Leader to support a major localization initiative connected to a new production hub in China.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience navigating complex product development environments. You will play a key role in ensuring localized parts are introduced into production on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and coordinate localization activities within your assigned technical area.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Production, Logistics, R&D, and Purchasing.
  • Ensure localized parts are successfully introduced into production according to agreed timelines and cost targets.
  • Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations throughout the localization process.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing lead times and improving project execution efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc in Engineering
  • Several years' experience within an automotive R&D environment
  • Solid understanding of product development processes
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Proven experience in Project Management, Assignment Leadership, or similar coordination roles
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
Desirable Experience
  • Background in Design, Procurement, Production, Logistics, or Testing
  • Knowledge of the Red Arrow process
  • Swedish language skills
