Job summary

A dynamic design firm in Gothenburg is looking for a Junior Alias Surface Modeller to join their Interior Surface Design team. In this full-time role, you will develop high-quality automotive interior models, collaborating closely with design and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of class-A modelling experience in the automotive industry and is proficient in Alias. Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in class-A modelling within the automotive industry.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing tooling requirements and delivering production ready data.
• Understanding of technical prerequisites for cars; experience in both interior and exterior modelling is a plus.

• Develop interior surface models from the mid to late phase of the design process.
• Utilize sketches and rough Alias models to build class-A quality models.
• Work directly with Designers and Engineering teams to develop 3D Digital model data.

Job description

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Junior Alias Surface Modeller to join our client’s dynamic Interior Surface Design team in Gothenburg, Sweden! This is a fantastic, full-time permanent, on-site role where you'll have the chance to grow and develop your skills while contributing to the future of automotive interiors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior surface models from the mid to late phase of the design process
• The ability to develop 3D data sets from 2D sketches and design direction
• Utilize sketches, rough Alias models, and scan data from clay models to build class-A quality models
• Work directly with the Designers, Clay Modelling and Studio Engineering teams to develop 3D Digital model data
• Contribute effectively to team technical and design styling discussions to ensure that the component engineers understand proposed design changes

Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in class-A modelling within the automotive industry
• Educated to degree level or equivalent engineering related discipline, with relevant automotive experience
• Proficiency in Alias, with a basic knowledge of Catia V5
• Strong sense of form and ability to produce class-A quality models
• A working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements and delivering production ready data
• Understanding of technical prerequisites for cars; experience in both interior and exterior modelling is a plus
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English
• Self-motivated with a "nothing is impossible" attitude
