Job summary

Astek in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking a Harness Design Engineer to contribute to automotive electrical systems. You will participate in 3D routing, 2D schematics, component selection, and system optimization across the development cycle, from concept to production support.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with harness prototypes, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting to drive reliable, efficient vehicle wiring solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
Experience in automotive wiring harness design is required.
Proficiency with 2D electrical design tools (Saber, E3, Capital, Eplan, or SolidWorks Electrical).
Experience with 3D CAD tools (Catia, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD).
Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop wiring harness concepts and 3D routing.
Create 2D schematics and select components for harnesses.
Prototype, test, and troubleshoot harness solutions.
Support production and resolve design issues across development phases.
