Job summary

Contechs in Gothenburg seeks an Exterior/Interior Studio Engineer on a contract basis. The role bridges design and engineering, ensuring design intents are translated into workable engineering solutions while documenting requirements and feasibility.

The candidate will contribute to the design direction, assess engineering feasibility, and support cross-functional teams across the vehicle program.

Qualifications

• Complete vehicle engineering knowledge both interior and exterior.
• Deep understanding of the vehicle development process.
• Very good Catia V5 and Teamcenter experience.
• Technical university or equivalent with +10 years automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the voice of design, communicating design intents and needs within engineering.
• Transfer and describe engineering and key legislative requirements to design.
• Generate feasible solutions for technically challenging areas.
• Manage and document agreements between design and engineering.
• Understand design intent and contribute technical solutions to drive development.
• Document feasibility of design themes and raise critical issues.
• Set up design clay models regarding standing heights, wheel positions, seating, etc.
