Job summary

TRATON Group R&D in Södertälje, Sweden, seeks a Cyber Security Test Engineer to drive testing across infotainment and driver display systems. You will plan, design, and execute cyber security tests, collaborating with System Test, Vehicle Test, and HIL teams to ensure safe, secure digital dashboards.

You will develop automated test scripts and analyze results, applying penetration, fuzzing, and vulnerability testing while ensuring compliance with automotive security standards.

Qualifications

• This role requires proven experience in cyber security testing, preferably in embedded or automotive contexts.
• Strong understanding of security testing techniques including penetration testing, fuzz testing, vulnerability scanning, and threat analysis.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, or C# are required.
• Familiarity with automotive CAN protocols is expected.
• Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Analytical, detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an IT security manager or similar.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and drive cyber security testing activities for Digital Dashboard systems.
• Analyze cyber security requirements and translate them into test scenarios and cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to support scalable testing.
• Execute cyber security tests, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, fuzz testing, and security validation.
• Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot security-related issues and defects.
• Evaluate results, identify risks, and report findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global System Test and HIL teams to align testing strategies and objectives.
• Support continuous improvement of cyber security testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Contribute to compliance with automotive cyber security standards and best practices.
