Job summary

Pertemps Network Group partners with an established renewable energy organisation to appoint an Asset Manager based in Umeå to oversee a portfolio of wind energy assets. You will act as owner’s representative, coordinating with O&M contractors, grid operators, investors, regulators and landowners, with regular travel to sites.

The role combines performance monitoring, contract management, budgeting, HSE and stakeholder engagement, requiring Swedish and English fluency and a strong analytical

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience within wind asset management, wind O&M, renewable energy project management, electricity markets or power sales.
• Good knowledge of wind farm operations and associated technical systems.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with operational and performance data.
• Commercial awareness and experience working with contracts, suppliers or budgets.
• Knowledge of the Nord Pool electricity market would be advantageous.
• A proactive, accountable and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to wind farm sites.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
• Fluent Swedish and English are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the overall operational performance of wind farm assets, including energy production, availability and failure rates.
• Monitor SCADA data, alarms, downtime and production performance.
• Analyse KPI performance and identify opportunities to improve asset availability and output.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual operational reports.
• Support performance improvement and optimisation initiatives across the portfolio.
• Manage key agreements including O&M contracts, PPAs, grid connection agreements and service contracts.
• Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.
• Support claims, negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Participate in supplier tendering and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Prepare and manage budgets, monitor OPEX and review expenditure.
• Coordinate and oversee O&M contractors and monitor contractual performance.
• Review preventative maintenance plans and major fault resolution strategies.
• Support the investigation and resolution of significant technical issues.
• Drive technical improvement and asset performance enhancement projects.
• Work closely with technical partners to maximise long‑term asset performance.
• Ensure assets operate in accordance with relevant Swedish legislation, permits and environmental requirements.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of HSE systems.
• Identify and manage operational and site‑based risks.
• Coordinate safety training and participate in audits.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Asset Manager to join an established renewable energy organisation and take responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of a portfolio of wind energy assets.

Based in Umea, you will act as an owner's representative across the wind farms under your management, working closely with O&M contractors, grid operators, suppliers, investors, regulatory authorities and other key stakeholders.

This is a varied position combining asset performance, commercial and contract management, technical coordination, budgeting, HSE and stakeholder management, with regular travel to operational wind farm sites.

Key Responsibilities

Asset & Operational Performance

About You

We are looking for an experienced renewable energy professional with a strong understanding of wind farm operations and the ability to combine technical knowledge with commercial and operational responsibility.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• At least 3 years' relevant professional experience
• Experience within wind asset management, wind O&M, renewable energy project management, electricity markets or power sales
• Good knowledge of wind farm operations and associated technical systems
