Truecaller is seeking an Android Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain core platform components for the Android app. You will influence architecture, code quality, and delivery cadence across networking, app architecture, performance, and shared libraries.

You will contribute to technical discussions, mentor peers, and own the delivery of high‑quality code. The role emphasizes collaboration with product teams and maintaining engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Sound knowledge of Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Fluent in English, in speaking and writing.
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Write code with great code standards.
• Deliver complex features on front-end tasks and performance improvements.
• Cover the code implementations with tests and improve code coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Advise product and business teams to inform decisions.
• Mentor junior developers and maintain high engineering standards.
• Coordinate with the release team for continuous delivery and timely bug resolution.
