Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Android software engineer to drive development across the full product lifecycle for embedded or device-based platforms. You will analyze business needs and translate them into robust Android applications and services, connecting on-device functionality with cloud services.

The role emphasizes designing reliable data exchange between onboard systems and backends, working with IoT/edge protocols such as REST, MQTT, and gRPC, and tackling constrained

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Android ecosystem on embedded or device-based platforms.
• Experience integrating on-device software with offboard/cloud services.
• Experience with IoT/edge protocols such as REST, MQTT, or gRPC.
• Experience designing reliable data exchange between onboard and backend systems.
• Experience working with constrained environments and distributed architectures.
• Ability to complete a background check before assignment start.
