Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting in Gothenburg is seeking a Senior Embedded Software/Platform Developer (Android & QNX) for an initial 6‑month deployment with strong extension potential. The role is hybrid with a minimum of four days on site in Gothenburg.

You will work on embedded C++ within Android and QNX, perform platform bring-up, builds, and debugging on target hardware, and influence architecture and technical strategy within a small, highly experienced team.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ experience in embedded environments.
• Hands-on QNX development, configuration, and debugging.
• Experience with Android upgrades, AOSP uplifts, or platform bring-up.
• Embedded Linux, BSP, kernel, drivers, or device tree familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Android/QNX platforms and driver components on target hardware.
• Collaborate with automotive team to define architecture and technical strategy.
• Debug and validate software on test rigs and live vehicle-like platforms.
• Contribute to build/configuration workflows and platform bring-up tasks.

Job description

Currently we’re looking for a Senior Embedded Software/Platform Developer (Android & QNX) to join our client in Gothenburg, Sweden.

This project will be an initial 6 month deployment, with strong extension potential. This will be a hybrid solution with a minimum of 4 days a week on site in Gothenburg.

In order to suit the project requirements you should have some of the following:

• Strong C++ experience within an embedded environment
• Hands-on QNX development, configuration, integration or debugging experience
• Experience with Android version upgrades, AOSP uplifts, baseline migrations or platform bring-up
• Android build and platform configuration experience, ideally including repo/manifests, Soong, Android.bp or product/vendor configuration
• Experience with hypervisors, virtual machines or multi-OS Android/QNX architectures
• Embedded Linux, BSP, kernel, device tree, drivers or board bring-up experience
• Hands-on experience debugging embedded software on target hardware, test rigs or prototype systems
• Automotive platform experience, with GAS, CTS/VTS or similar compliance knowledge beneficial
