Job summary

Neo4j in Europe seeks a visionary Tech Lead for AI to shape and build the AI capabilities of Hume Maestro from the ground up. You will translate product vision into solid technical decisions and lead the architectural work for the AI layer of our connected data analytics platform.

You will contribute hands-on and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product Managers and Scientists to deliver scalable, high-quality AI solutions across the platform.

Qualifications

• Senior or Lead Engineer with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Strong track record designing and deploying AI architectures, including LLMs or graph AI.
• Ability to bridge research vision and production-ready engineering.
• Experience working with Product and Science stakeholders on delivery speed and quality.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: design foundations and roadmap for the AI layer, focusing on Hume Maestro.
• Hands-on Engineering: contribute to codebase, set standards for performance and scalability.
• Collaborative Governance: work with Product Managers and Chief Scientist to align execution with priorities.
• Cross-Functional Integration: collaborate with front-end and platform teams to embed AI features.
• Technical Quality: advance AI/ML engineering practices, model evaluation and deployment pipelines.
• Team Building: grow and mentor an AI engineering team as the function expands.
