Job summary

Nordea Bank Abp, Filial i Sverige seeks a Technical AI Safety Specialist to deepen hands-on expertise in engineering-heavy AI risk areas and scale governance across the organization.

Collaborate with engineering, security, and governance teams to turn deep technical insights into practical risk assessments, guardrails, and compliant AI deployments, while shaping how AI safety expertise evolves within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level technical degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience with AI/ML system architectures and risk.
• Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build deep technical knowledge of AI risk areas and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and cybersecurity teams to translate understanding into governance guidance.
• Track AI developments and assess security implications of new capabilities and protocols.
• Author technical white papers and risk assessments for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute input to governance frameworks and technical controls for AI systems.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to test governance approaches against engineering constraints.
