Job summary

Ampstek is hiring for a role in Stockholm to deploy and operate a private AI platform on VMware Cloud Foundation with NVIDIA GPUs. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days in the office weekly, and a 12+ month contract in Stockholm, Sweden.

You will implement Kubernetes on VMware, enable GPU workloads, and build reproducible infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible, with Git-based workflows and SSO integration. Fluent English is a must for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on deployment and configuration of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x.
• Kubernetes on VMware in production.
• NVIDIA GPU enablement on vSphere.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible, managed in Git.
• Active security clearance.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager) on GPU-equipped hardware and validate cluster readiness, networking and GPU enablement.
• Deploy vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) for GPU workloads.
• Implement infrastructure as code so cluster creation and lifecycle operations are fully reproducible.
• Integrate the platform with Active Directory and SSO.
• Set up VCF Automation for governed self-service of Kubernetes namespaces, with RBAC and audit logging.

Ampstek is hiring for a large enterprise client that is building a private AI platform on VMware Cloud Foundation with NVIDIA GPUs, enabling internal teams to run AI and LLM workloads on Kubernetes in a governed, self-service way.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager) on GPU-equipped hardware and validate cluster readiness, networking and GPU enablement
• Deploy vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS 1.33+) for GPU workloads
• Implement infrastructure as code so cluster creation and lifecycle operations are fully reproducible
• Integrate the platform with Active Directory and SSO
• Set up VCF Automation for governed self-service of Kubernetes namespaces, with RBAC and audit logging

Must have

• Hands-on deployment and configuration of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x
• Kubernetes on VMware (VKS or vSphere with Tanzu) in production
• NVIDIA GPU enablement on vSphere (vGPU profiles or GPU passthrough, host drivers)
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible, managed in Git
• Active security clearance
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• NSX networking and security
• AD / SSO integration for Kubernetes
• Experience escalating cases to Broadcom/VMware or NVIDIA
