Job summary

The Swedish Defence University in Stockholm invites applications for a researcher focused on AI-assisted social science research, computational social science and quantitative methods.

You will work in a team conducting commissioned research on information influence and disinformation, develop and evaluate LLM-based methods, supervise colleagues, and contribute to publications and funding proposals.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent international degree required.
• Experience with quantitative and/or computational social science methods.
• Experience with ML, NLP or quantitative text analysis, especially LLM-based methods.
• Excellent English communication; Swedish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent and collaborative AI-assisted research.
• Contribute to publications, conference presentations and funding applications.
• Develop methods using LLMs, NLP, machine learning and quantitative text analysis.
• Train and supervise other researchers and build methodological capacity.
