Job summary

Linköping University is seeking multiple AI Application Experts to contribute to the adoption and application of advanced AI methods across domains including life science, materials science, autonomous systems, and more through the MIMER AI Factory initiative.

You will support users, translate challenges into AI-enabled solutions, develop tutorials, and help build a national and European AI community through collaboration with academia, industry and public sector.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in AI, CS, data science, engineering, life sciences, materials science, applied mathematics, or related field.
• Practical experience with AI, machine learning, data analytics, or related computational methods.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world problems.
• Experience in research, industry, public-sector organizations, or innovation projects.
• Interest in AI technologies and their practical application.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with different stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Support researchers, companies, and public-sector organizations in the adoption and use of AI technologies.
• Contribute expertise within one or several domains such as life science, materials science, autonomous systems, data science, AI tools, or training.
• Help identify suitable AI methods, workflows, and technologies for specific use cases.
• Work directly with users to understand challenges and translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
• Provide guidance on data preparation, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Contribute to pilot projects, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Develop documentation, tutorials, training material, and examples.
