Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking an acoustics-focused engineer to join the HVDC unit in Sweden. You will analyse noise propagation for high voltage and high power systems, perform measurements, and contribute to design improvements in a global, multicultural environment.

The position offers growth within Hitachi Energy and collaboration across international teams. Ideal candidates hold a doctoral or master's degree in acoustics and can work with or without extensive industry experience.

Qualifications

Doctoral or Master level education in acoustics or related field.
Experience with acoustic modelling software is a merit.
Interest in mechanics, climate and electrical aspects to integrate acoustics with delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

Evaluate acoustics through calculations, modelling and 3D simulations of noise propagation.
Perform on site measurements to verify calculations and requirements.
Work in a multidisciplinary team with mechanical, climate and electrical considerations.
Translate theoretical results into design suggestions with equipment and civil construction teams.
Participate in ongoing improvements to stay competitive for the future.
Interpret requirements and data to assess the best financial and technical path forward.
Support the business units in the acoustic area.
