Job summary

GSM - Green SM is seeking a senior accounting leader for its Sweden entity to manage end-to-end accounting operations in alignment with Swedish GAAP (K2/K3) and IFRS. You will lead month-end close, statutory reporting, and tax filings, while developing the accounting team and ensuring strong internal controls.

The role requires 5–7 years in accounting with supervisory experience, fluency in Swedish and English, and hands-on ERP skills (SAP/Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Auktoriserad Revisor, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting standards (K2/K3), tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience in a multinational company or shared service center is an advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills across levels and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations for the Sweden entity.

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under Swedish GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax filings and manage external relations.
• Support, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Review internal controls and accounting processes in line with group policies.
• Coordinate with Group/Regional Finance on reporting, consolidations, and ad hoc analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Drive process improvement, standardization and automation in accounting.

Job Purpose

Lead and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations for the GSM Sweden entity, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local statutory requirements, group accounting policies, and IFRS/local GAAP. Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on accounting matters, while supervising and developing the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Intercompany) for the Sweden entity.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial results.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with Swedish GAAP (K2/K3) and/or IFRS, and group reporting requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax filings and manage external relationsships with e.g. Bolagsverket, Skatteverket.
• Support, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Review and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes in line with group policies.
• Coordinate with Group Finance / Regional Finance teams on reporting requirements, consolidations, and ad hoc analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities.
• Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings, including the annual report and other regulatory submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
