Job description
Perform periodic inspections, cleanings, and maintenance of kitchen and refrigeration equipment, such as freezers, industrial steam ranges, refrigerators, ice makers, washing machines, ovens, dryers, dishwashers, and water coolers.
Log into the work order management system to search, accept, and complete work orders.
Install new equipment; repair leaks; ensure proper wiring controls; replace outdated or defective equipment.
Cooperate with other maintenance workers, company officials, and employees to provide effective solutions to maintenance problems.
Respond promptly to emergency calls for equipment repairs, as well as after-hours calls.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills
Hotel: 2 years (Preferred)
Kitchen Equipment Technician: 2 years (Required)
In-depth knowledge of the operation of various types of kitchens and refrigeration equipment.
Excellent soldering and heating skills, and the use of oxygen/propane.
Strong ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and follow operating and installation manuals to complete tasks successfully.
Strong ability to safely and efficiently use and maintain various types of equipment.
Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision and assume responsibility for the repair of assigned equipment.
Strong ability to prioritize assigned tasks to maximize work completion.
