- Possess complete technical knowledge of logging units, downhole tools, operating software, and wireline procedures.
- Prepare for each job by consulting with clients, collecting necessary inputs, and ensuring all job-specific requirements are met.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, tested, and properly organized for mobilization to the job site.
- Supervise logging operations and guide the crew during tool preparation, deployment, and data acquisition.
- Conduct pre-job meetings with the rig crew to identify and mitigate hazards and ensure safety.
- Monitor all operational safety aspects, including driving practices, and handling of radioactive sources and explosives.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical supervision to crew members and new operators.
- Submit timely, detailed, and accurate field reports and job summaries, including log prints and initial interpretations.
- Ensure all equipment, personnel certifications, and licenses are up to date and compliant with legal and client requirements.
- Deliver high-quality log data and field reports to site officials for interpretation and decision-making.
- Proficient in both open-hole and cased-hole logging, and knowledgeable in tools such as NMR, LWD/MWD, borehole imaging, sampling tools, perforation systems, RSS, DST tools, Spinners, and CBL/VDL/USIT.
- Strong grasp of hydrocarbon typing, production logging, and downhole equipment setting.
- Skilled in hazard identification, risk mitigation, and compliance with safety standards.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills, capable of drafting all job-related documentation.
- Effective communicator and team leader capable of working under pressure and in multi-cultural environments.
- Technically competent with experience in troubleshooting tools and software during live operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in wireline logging operations.
- Strong exposure to instrumentation and logging technologies.
- Demonstrated working experience in at least 3 countries or with top-tier (pedigree) clients.
- Complete knowledge of Safety Policies, SOPs, and industry-standard compliance guidelines.
